THE SIOC-CDT HONEY PRODUCTION PROJECT HAS LAUNCHED

The official launch of SIOC-CDT’s Honey Production Project took place on 27 July 2023 in Kathu. The Project (which is the first of its kind for SIOC-CDT) is modelled to develop and support both new and existing players in the honey production and beekeeping sector. Tailored to benefit Agri-prenuers from the beneficiary areas of Johan Taolo Gaetsewe District and Tsantsabane local municipalities. The 30 selected beneficiaries were announced at the event.

Kgodiso Project – update

Kgodiso Project’s objective is to empower up to 50 potentially scalable businesses across all five of the beneficiary communities. The timeline for the project is to launch in October 2022 and to run for the next 12-36 months. The support provided to the selected participants will be needs-based and can include both a financial and non-financial element.

The Honey Production Project

This project aims to support interested emerging Agri-preneurs with the required resources to start-up and set up honey production businesses. This includes support in setting up of hives, honey extraction, bottling and access to local and export markets.
