SIOC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRUST (SIOC-CDT) BURSARY FUND 2025
SIOC Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) invites learners and students to apply for the 2025 bursary funding for post-matric study.
This funding opportunity is aimed at supporting the youth from our beneficiary communities (Gamagara; Ga-Segonyana; Joe Morolong; Tsantsabane and Thabazimbi) to prepare for an economically sustainable livelihood.
Our bursary fund covers the following:
Registration and tuition fees, accommodation, prescribed study material, laptop, monthly stipend and assistive devices (to enhance learning) for those with disabilities.

Who can apply?
Only SA Citizens who are residing in and/or originate from SIOC-CDT beneficiary communities:
- Age of applicant must be less than 35 years by the closing date of the application;
- Accepted/provisionally accepted at the relevant Public Higher Education Institution for 2025 academic year;
- In financial need to fund under/postgraduate study with preference given to undergraduates.
- The combined household annual income should not be more than R600 000,00.

Submit the completed application form to the Bursary Office with all the relevant supporting documents below:
- A certified copy of your South African ID;
- A copy of your latest academic results (Grade 12 June results OR Grade 12 Prelims results, University 1st semester results OR results transcript where application is for the 2nd year of studies onwards);
- A certified copy of your final NSC result if completed before 2024;
- Proof of acceptance or provisional acceptance or proof of application at a recognised higher public education institution (University/TVET/FET College;
- Recent proof of residence (not older than 3 months);
- Proof of income of Parent or Guardian (most recent payslip); or certified declaration of unemployment (not older than 3 months); or affidavit confirming you do not have parents/guardians; or SASSA Grant recipient certificate;
- Medical Certificate confirming type of disability (if applicable);
- Recent 3 months bank statement (reflecting income).
